Custom woven tags are made from polyester or cotton threads woven into cloth labels. The threads are woven on a loom. The finished front of the weaving displays your logo, while thread work is visible on the back. To hide messy back threadwork, the tag is folded in half to form a loop, and the two ends sewn onto the garment.

While capable of producing crisp, clear logos, a woven label cannot reproduce exceptionally fine details which may look better in larger formats, nor can the process support gradients or photo-realistic images. Logos with eight colors or less work best.
Woven loop tags cost more than printed labels, as the loop labels must be made on a loom. The extra set-up and application costs are worthwhile, however, due to the durability of the tags.
