9 Ideas for Celebrating Company Anniversaries

In January, 2022, Triple Crown Products celebrated our 38th anniversary. For almost four decades we’ve provided promotional products to businesses, sports teams, and other organizations, helping them grow brand recognition, attract new clients, and retain customers. We’re proud of our achievements and want to celebrate them. This, naturally enough, led to thinking about the different ways to celebrate a corporate anniversary, ideas we’ll share with you here.

Make Your Celebration Public

A business anniversary is an important milestone, so use your anniversary celebrations to gain some media attention. Your anniversary is a chance to put your brand in the public eye while commemorating your history, your culture and values, and your future goals. It’s also an ideal opportunity to publicly recognize your employees and express thanks to clients and customers. Make the most of it.

Celebrate on Social Media

Use your anniversary to gain traction on social media. Spotlight your achievements and announce new projects. Interview long-time staff and post their thoughts on the anniversary.

Launch a social media contest that coincides with your anniversary, asking customers to offer feedback or share your anniversary posts for a chance to win branded prizes. Possible prizes include:

Emphasize Your Business Goals

While anniversaries are often times to look back on past accomplishments, don’t neglect the future. A business anniversary is a fantastic time to announce new projects and initiatives to your employees and client base.

Redesign Your Logo

Redesigning your company logo isn’t something to be taken lightly, as your existing brand recognition is tied to your current logo. Pairing the launch of a redesigned logo with your anniversary helps people associate your new logo with your company. Try to incorporate aspects of your old logo into the new design, and launch the new logo with a tagline that reminds people of how long you’ve been in business, such as “celebrating 50 years of service.”

Host a Party for Your Employees

An anniversary offers a chance to show your appreciation for your employees, so hold a party for them. Depending on the anniversary a party can be as simple as an in-office get-together with cake or as lavish as a catered affair with entertainment, dancing, and prizes.

Make sure all employees have a chance to attend the party, even if it means shutting down for the day. Take the opportunity to deliver a short presentation on milestones achieved and future plans, but keep the focus on your employees. Give out customized momentos like customized wine glasses, and include awards for valued employees. Prizes for employee achievements might include outerwear such as the Carhartt Quilted-Flannel-Lined Duck Active Jac, fancy awards for employees to display on their desks, or a high-end wireless speaker

Thank You Cards

Use your anniversary to show gratitude towards employees, customers, clients, and partners with thank you cards. Send cards with small, useful gifts, such as customized keychains, calendars, pens, and stickers commemorating the event.

Make an Anniversary Video

Video is one of the most effective marketing tools available. With a little planning, you can create an anniversary video to show at your employee party, upload to your website, and share on social media. Include notable achievements and milestones of the past, interviews with employees, testimonials from clients and customers, profits, and your vision for the future.

Give Back to the Community

Corporate social responsibility is a powerful force, capable of greatly improving your brand reputation. For your anniversary, consider donating time or money to a local non-profit. You could also sponsor a local marathon, concert, or similar event. Not only does doing so make you look good, you can improve brand recognition by providing swag for the event. Event goodies might include the following:

Anniversary Sales

Anniversary sales are an excellent way to reward existing clients and attract new customers. Offer a discount on the week, or even the month, or your company anniversary. Now is also a great time to sell special items, such as branded outerwear commemorating the anniversary, or to hold a drawing for customers who spend a specific amount. A high-quality jacket such as the CROWN Ranger Sherpa Lined Jacket makes a tempting first prize, while two or three runners-up might receive a TCP Deluxe Quarter Zip Hoodies.

No matter how long you’ve been in business, anniversaries are important events. In a competitive market, every year you grow and succeed is a year that should be celebrated. So while Triple Crown Products celebrates our own 38th anniversary, we’d like to congratulate you on your anniversaries this year. May you have many more!
